The trail is well maintained by Benton County Parks. It is a rails to trails course. Nearly 0 elevation gain and constructed entirely of pea gravel. It has some wooded areas along the sides to add demention and provide a unique Knight ( night ) time atmosphere. All road crossings will be secured for your safety.
As this is a Knight ( night ) Run we will provide a handheld flashlight to help you find your way through the darkness and hopefully encourage you to shine your light as you log more miles in the future. The "22 footer" will not include a flashlight. Our mentality is a no runner left behind mindset.
We are offering an option of individual sponsorship of a mile, with a maximum of 10 sponsors each specific mile. We would ask that you 1st pick the mile you would like to sponsor. We then would ask that you email or send a COPY of a picture 3x5 or 5x7 ( we ask for a copy as you will not be receiving this back) of your fallen soldier/ loved one to firstname.lastname@example.org or mail to 303 N K Ave - Vinton, IA 52349.
